Promote livelihood of women farmers through agriculture
Project Mission
Increase income of 1,000 women farmers
Project Objectives
- To organise women farmers and activate them to advocate for attaining their rights and resources
- To promote active participation of women farmers in panchayats
- To make convergence for forging relations and coordination of government and nongovernmental departments and other stakeholders and service providers
- To build capacity of women farmers on agricultural land and water issues
Major Activities
- Formation and meetings of women farmers’ groups
- Agricultural model related microplanning with women farmers groups
- Capacity building, educational excursions, etc., of women farmers group members on different issues
- Soil testing
- Implementation of livelihood promotion models
- Meeting and interface with government and non-governmental service providers and media
- Regular meetings and capacity building of operational committee of agricultural resource centres
- Linkage of agricultural resource centres with government and other departments
- Panchayati raj awareness campaign
- Women farmer awareness campaign
Target Group
1,000 women farmers; 50 women farmers form each village
