Goal
To build capacity of elected women representatives (EWRs) in panchayats so they start discharge their duties on their own and not through proxy male kin
Activities
- Orientation about the project in joint meetings of EWRs and their male kin
- Information dissemination on rights of women in panchayats, cooperation and equality
- Discussion on gender, sexuality, patriarchy, etc., in meetings of EWRs
- Training of service providers like panchayat members, asha workers, anganwadi workers, etc.
