Promote livelihood of women farmers through agriculture

Project Mission

Increase income of 1,000 women farmers

Project Objectives

  1. To organise women farmers and activate them to advocate for attaining their rights and resources
  2. To promote active participation of women farmers in panchayats
  3. To make convergence for forging relations and coordination of government and nongovernmental departments and other stakeholders and service providers
  4. To build capacity of women farmers on agricultural land and water issues

Major Activities

  1. Formation and meetings of women farmers’ groups
  2. Agricultural model related microplanning with women farmers groups
  3. Capacity building, educational excursions, etc., of women farmers group members on different issues
  4. Soil testing
  5. Implementation of livelihood promotion models
  6. Meeting and interface with government and non-governmental service providers and media
  7. Regular meetings and capacity building of operational committee of agricultural resource centres
  8. Linkage of agricultural resource centres with government and other departments
  9. Panchayati raj awareness campaign
  10. Women farmer awareness campaign

Target Group

1,000 women farmers; 50 women farmers form each village
